He has served as an international Visiting Lecturer and is one of the Founders of International Society of Iraqi Scientists and was elected in 2002 as its President until 2015. He has received several awards from academic institutions, non-profit organizations, the WHO and Governmental agencies.

Krassimir Metodiev, MD, Ph.D., DSc(Med), is Head of the Department of Preclinical and Clinical Sciences, Medical University, Varna, Bulgaria; President, IMAB; Vice-President, FESCI; Referent, UICC; and Director, ARW Bioterrorism, Scientific Affairs’ Division, NATO. His specialties are immunology and clinical microbiology. He has published 240 papers, IF 174.00, 7 books on medicine, and 2 books on poetry. He is editor in chief of the Journal of IMAB and editorial board member of IJIP, EJI, CEJM, JAA, and JISAO. He has attended 120 congresses worldwide, is a plenary speaker, and has been the chairperson of several sessions and workshops. He has been guest professor in Germany (Institute for Immunology, Munich); Austria (Danube University, Krems); Norway (The Norwegian Radium Hospital, Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo); and Israel (Hadassah-Jerusalem, Rambam-Haifa, Sheba-Tel Hashomer).

Title of supervised projects: Development of a Therapeutic Vaccine against Hepatitis B Virus - Incidence of hepatitis A , B, C ,D and E in Saudi Arabia .The laboratory diagnosis of hepatitis B virus-Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection testing technologies & strategies -Hepatitis C virus virological studies and diagnosis of liver diseases. He works privately at The Keyhole Heart Clinic where he carries out keyhole mitral, aortic and tricuspid valve surgery, coronary bypass surgery, TAVI, atrial fibrillation ablation and general cardiac surgery. He holds an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor of Thoracic Surgery at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is also a Director of Thoracic Robotic Surgery. Dr. Raad is certified by both the American Board of Surgery, and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Gupta is a highly skilled cardiologist who specializes in Interventional cardiovascular and peripheral procedures. He completed his “Medicine residency” at Penn State University, “Cardiology Fellowship” at the University of South Florida and an “Interventional Cardiology” fellowship at The University of Chicago. He then went on to pursue additional training in “Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Intervention” at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. In 2013, he was awarded the status of “Extraordinary Ability and Achievement” by the United States government. Dr Gupta has authored multiple abstracts, journal articles, book chapters and presented at multiple national and international meetings.
